Sesi Bergeret

Sesi Bergeret was born in Barcelona in 1978. She is the second daughter of a couple of immigrants who arrived to Barcelona at the end of 1972. She has a B.A in Audiovisual Communication from the University Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona (2001). She got interested in documentary films through educational courses and professional projects and adventures.

In 2002, she took part in the workship Taller de Documentales de la Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños in Cádiz and in the Seminario de Cine Documental given by Patricio Guzmán in Barcelona. In 2004, she participated in the workshop Documental y Ficción: un acercamiento a la doble naturaleza del cine given by Víctor Erice in Alicante.

Sesi Bergeret is co-founder of Cadiz.doc, Muestra Internacional del Documental Independiente. In 2003, 2004 and 2005, she was Coordination assistant, member of the selection comity and responsible of the jury and guests of the festival.

She worked as a press agent in the Festival de Cine Independiente de Barcelona, l’Alternativa from 2003 to 2006, and she was part of the Selection comity in 2007. Also in 2007, she has commissioned a monographic of an Argentinean documentary at the Muestra Cinematográfica del Atlántico, Alcances.
